Nello Wins Engineering News-Record Award
Pittsburgh, PA - Together with Eckles Architecture and Engineering, Nello Construction has been awarded an ENR Best Projects 2011 Award, a great honor for both firms.
The project team was crowned for its recent work on Moon Area High School, winning ENR's K-12 category in the New York Region which includes 11 states.
Owned by The McGraw-Hill Companies, ENR is a national construction industry magazine with more than 70,000 paid subscribers. Companies from each of the magazine's seven regions submitted projects in 17 different categories, ranging from civil/infrastructure to green building.
Nello and the winners of the 17 award categories were honored at ENR's Best Projects 2011 Awards event held in New York City near Times Square on November 8.
As the New York Region winner, Nello's project will be automatically entered in the Best of the Best Projects 2011 national competition, where it will compete against education category winners from ENR's six other regions.
Another local project that won best in the Sports/Entertainment category was Consol Energy Arena, submitted by Structal-Heavy Steel Construction, a division of Canam Group.
