Nello History
1952
Nello Construction was established as a masonry contractor and operated as one for nearly twenty years before becoming a general contractor.
1964
Retro job trailer! Nello first operated in Monroeville before building a small office on Craig Street in Oakland.
1970
Date of Incorporation! Gito, Inc. DBA Nello Construction Company.
1974
Ponderosa Steakhouse in Uniontown. In addition to Ponderosa, Nello worked for a number of restaurant franchises including Arthur Treacher's Fish & Chips, Rax, and Wendy's.
1980

1982
George Leasure, Nello's president, was originally hired as a project estimator. George eventually worked his way into project management and upper management in the 90s.
1984

1985
Gateway Center Station (finished). Gateway Center Station closed on October 30, 2009 and was demolished as part of the North Shore Connector project.
1985

1990
Amos K. Hutchison Bypass on PA Turnpike 66. Nello was contracted to build 15 prefabricated toll booths and eight off ramp toll plazas.
2000
Observer-Reporter article featuring Nello's plan to move from Carnegie (its second office location) and build a new office in Canonsburg.
2001
A historical project, Nello added a second floor to the Fort Pitt Museum located in Point State Park in Pittsburgh.
2002
Nello's roller hockey team claims the league championship at Southpointe Iceoplex! Can you find Bob Skrzyniarz and Gino Torriero?
2018
Jake McNary is promoted to President of Nello Construction.
2018
Nello Construction moves back to Carnegie, PA.
2019
Purchased land to begin construction on new office building in Carnegie, PA.
